Join us (costumed, or not) for this year’s walking tours in conjunction with the San Mateo County Historical Association’s Victorian Day festivities. Burlingame offers two free tours this year: At 1pm we will meet at the Broadway location of Wells Fargo (1145 Broadway) in the parking lot off of Chula Vista to explore the growth and origin of the TOWN OF EASTON. Learn why Burlingame has two main business streets, why Broadway has an arch and other interesting tidbits. At 3pm, join us at the main Railroad Station (290 California Drive) to explore EASTSIDE BURLINGAME: After a brief overview of the Burlingame Country Club and Burlingame Square, the walking tour will explore Burlingame’s eastside, including polo fields, hot houses and a home of ill repute. Each tour lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour, and you can even do both, if you are in the mood! The Museum will be open from 1-4pm, as well. Tour and museum are free and open to all ages.
